There are number of great programs that are out there that can help with productivity and everyday life. Specifically, there are ten that should be on every person’s smartphone.

1. Evernote

Many people often need help remembering things and jotting down notes. Evernote is an intuitive way to keep track of cool web pages, neat pictures and the random thoughts throughout the day. Notes can be arranged into categorized notebooks and the information can be viewed online as well.

2. FeeddlerRSS

There are simply too much content on the Internet to keep track of it all. For anyone that has a Google Reader account, FeeddlerRSS is a great program that allows you to organize your RSS feeds and read them on your smart phone.

3. Boxcar

One of the best (or possibly worst) things about a smart phone would be all of the beeps, alarms and notifications that can pop up. Boxcar gives you the ability to customize and tweak these notifications.
4. Dropbox

Dropbox allows you to view documents and computer files from any location. This can be extremely helpful for the person who is on the go and does not always have access to his computer.

5. Dragon Dictation

Typing on a tiny keyboard or a touch screen is not the easiest thing. Dragon dictation allows you to simply speak into the phone and have everything dictated.

6. Dolphin

Tabbed browsing is something that should not be restricted to the computer. The Dolphin browser not only has tabbed browsing but also features unique gestures as well as a webzine section.

7. DocScanner

Documents can be scanned into the program and then exported to programs such as Dropbox and Evernote. There is even a robust OCR with this app.

8. ABContacts

In addition to being able to organize and sort through contacts, this app provides a slick and attractive favorite list that can be set up with contact photos.

9. Light

With this app, you will never be without a flashlight. Who normally carries around a flashlight anyway?

10. Key Ring

The Key Ring app allows you to ditch those plastic membership cards and use your phone. Be aware that the app does not work well with flatbed scanners.

There are thousands of apps that are out there. Some are cool and funny while others are just downright silly and not worth the time to download. With the ten apps that are listed, any smart phone user can be a more productive person and a better member of society.
